Category Management and ‘Gators’

Posted 31/03/2014

Ok so this is a random title but a discussion around the dinner table around the ways of dealing with ‘Gators’ in a Tennessee back yard was an eye opening way of spending an evening between category management training days in the USA at the beginning of this month.

We brought to life the concepts and techniques behind sourcing for 50 US based global category managers for a highly fragmented FTSE100 technology company in two interactive and energetic 2-day programmes.. With feedback that this was the best course they had ever had making us feel that we must have done something right. Seriously the big message. Having a common language to define what category management is and a common set of tools to deliver it is one of the best ways to create cooperation and traction within a highly fragmented global company.
