The main body of our Category Management Survey was based upon FP’s Five Building Blocks to Category Management Success :

In this edition we are focussing on the fifth and final step which is DELIVER. It deals with the results that a category management programme delivers to an organisation.

In the next Viewpoint, we will be recommending how organizations can assess how well they have implemented Category Management by undertaking a Category Management diagnostic.

Category Management Survey: Part 6 DELIVER

The 2012-13 Category Management survey provides detailed insight into the best practices that differentiate Category Management Leaders from Followers

We have designed the report in a modular format based on the FP Category Management Building Blocks.

In Part 6 we share findings that cover DELIVER - i.e. results delivered by Category Management activities and programmes, assessed through a range of metrics such as level of spend penetration, cost reduction and cost avoidance, supplier performance, reduced level of risk, and better service.
