Procurement learning & development can be a ‘mix and match’ range of courses from a number of internal and external training providers. Our clients tell us that this approach leads to conflicting messages and themes, repetition of content, limited alignment with the business objectives and no single point of ownership for the teams enhanced performance.
We address these concerns through the Future Purchasing Procurement Academy - where we take full ownership for the end to end learning and development process. We work closely with both the procurement leadership team and HR function to develop a comprehensive programme that fully meets all of the identified learning and development needs.
The Procurement Academies that we develop for our clients start with Competency Assessment, from which a programme of learning and development activities is created. The programme typically runs over a period of 12 to 18 months, covering all of the procurement team. It is fully integrated with the client’s HR processes and policies and incorporates any existing internal training courses.
Each Academy that we run for our clients is fully customised, and covers elements from both Functional Skills, and Business Skills. Our programmes have increased staff and stakeholder satisfaction levels, contributed to improved staff retention, enhanced overall procurement performance and increased the savings to employment cost ratio.
