“Category management success – a view from senior procurement leaders”

For us, 2013 has been the year of category management. Regular readers of Viewpoint are by now familiar with our category management study which shows that every ambitious procurement function must focus on adopting and improving category management

Our Category Management Study identified the practices that make category management work and the scale of benefits available when this happens. To reinforce our findings, we asked a panel of CPOs to discuss their approaches to improve procurement.

Over the summer and autumn of 2013, we heard a wide variety of opinions, experiences and perspectives of 24 leading CPOs based on their practical experience of making category management work.
